Scottish Brass Band Golf Championships

The Brass Band Golf tournament will take place on Sunday 28 June 2015

The purpose of this event is a fun day out for all Brass Band players and Instrumental Service teachers. All proceeds from this event will again be donated to the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland.

Ideally, bands should enter a four man team, however you can enter as an individual player, or a pair or a trio, and you will be teamed up with other brass players to make a four man team on the day.

All players MUST be either playing members of a Brass Band, Instrumental Service Teachers or working musicians.

Entry is limited to the first fifteen four man teams received – i.e. 60 players in total.

The format of the day is as follows :

1.00pm Coffee & Rolls on Arrival.
2.00pm First tee off time.
6.30pm Three course evening meal followed by after dinner speakers and prize giving.
8.00pm Conclusion of event.

The format is a Stableford Competition which awards points to each player in the team –
One point for a net bogey, two points for a net par and three points for a net birdie etc.
Each player in the team must have a handicap – the maximum handicap is 24. It is recognised that many brass players will not have official club handicaps, and a non official handicap will be accepted on trust.

Each player will be playing both for his/her team and as an individual in the competition.

The Scottish Open Brass Band Golf Champion – awarded to the individual player with the highest stableford score.
